Dear All, I Googled this as much as I can. But couldn't find any substantial solution. Kdeconnectd is not shown in "Startup and Shutdown" -> "Auto Start" or "Background Services" to disable it from there.
However I want to switch to KDE and installed that and also this is working fine in Hyper V local mode. If I connect via XRDP however, Gnome is still used. I changed /etc/xrdp/startwm.sh and commented out the last two lines and added exec startkde: #test -x /etc/X11/Xsession && exec /etc/X11/Xsession #exec /bin/sh /etc/X11/Xsession exec

KDE Connect does its work through your local internet connection, and all devices must have the KDE Connect application installed, including the Android device.
With KDE desktop window manager, you can establishe a remote connection to your Ubuntu Linux VPS and use it like a windows server. Try it with a VPS has more than 1 GB Ram therefore Desktop window managers requires more ram instead of normal usage.
Here are the steps: Copy Text on Android: Copy the text you want to sync on your Android device. You can do this by long-pressing the text and selecting Copy. Open KDE Connect on Android: Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the notification panel. Here, you should see a persistent KDE Connect notification.
KDE Connect is a great piece of software, but not everyone will want to have a server open, as this increases the attack surface, and at least in the past was a vector for a DOS attack I only found really weird ways how to disable it, like making the binary nonexecutable. But I would like a good way, it doesnt seem to have a systemd service. The use case is for the security-hardened OS

3. Run KDE krdc client. As this is a graphical user interface based KDE RDP client for Ubuntu, thus to run it simply click on the “Show Applications” and search for KRDC. As its icon appears, click to run it. 4. Enable RDP on Windows 10. The first thing before connecting to Windows is to enable the Remote Desktop feature on it.
